I am a firm believer in ‘word of mouth’ referrals and the majority of my enquiries and bookings come from client testimonials. First and foremost I try my upmost to provide a photography experience that is relaxed and fun. I understand that having professional photographs taken can be a little daunting and something that most people do not experience very often. I have met adults who have never been photographed professionally since since their wedding day… And often children are only photographed professionally for their yearly school photograph.
I offer a truly personal service every step of the way for all of my clients. From your initial consultation, right through to handing over your photographs, you will only liaise with me, Lesley Bee.
These are reviews posted on my Lesley Bee Photography business page following photo shoots with clients. You can view these actual reviews HERE

I will always keep in touch with Lesley as she helped keep me going, more than a photographer 🙂 ! Couldn’t of asked for better. And as for her assistant, well you’ll see. How are you enjoying your Summer Holidays? Are you relaxed and sun tanned following your recent holiday? Or are you praying for the sunshine to come back – fingers and toes crossed, trying to keep the children occupied and busy? I am a family photographer in Leicester, specialising in studio and location photography. Why not book one of my very special photography offers either at Burbage Common or here at my studio in Hinckley. My Summer mini sessions at Burbage Common are perfect for your energetic little ones. They can have fun and burn off some energy, whilst I chase around after them capturing natural, fun and relaxed photographs that really show their personality.
You may prefer a studio photography session. This photo shoot is perfect for older babies, couples and families. My studio is located at the Atkins Building, in the heart of Hinckley town centre and again, my photography sessions are always relaxed and informal. Both of theses sessions include the photography time (approx. 45 minutes) and the location session includes 2 digital files on disc. The studio session includes 3 digital files on disc. This comes with full usage rights for you to print your own photographs.
Please note: Both offers are for mini sessions at the studio or at Burbage Common. This offer excludes newborn photography sessions. A maximum of 6 for the photo shoot. Full session fee is required to secure your booking.

Another lovely couple and fantastic wedding photography at Stratford Manor. Huw and Regi were married at the Stratford Manor Hotel and it was really sweet to also witness the joining together of Regi’s family from Hungary with Huw’s family from Wales. I’ve not photographed a wedding before whereby the speeches were read out both in English and Hungarian. Always a first for everything… 🙂
Co-ordinating the group photographs and giving directions was sometimes a little harder due to the language barrier but on the whole it was relatively easy with a bit of arm waving and help from Regi giving direction to her family for the group photographs.
We were so very lucky with the weather and although we had a few little showers throughout the day, in between we had the most glorious sunshine and together with such an easy going couple, a gorgeous doggy and friendly, welcoming family and friends, it really was a lovely day. BEE happy Mr and Mrs Thomas… xxx
If you are looking for relaxed, informal wedding photography at Stratford Manor, please don’t hesitate to call me on 01455 233224 to discuss your wedding day.
I am an experienced photographer and provide professional bump to baby photography at my light and airy, fully equipped studio in Hinckley, Leicestershire. My priority is for parents to have a stress free, relaxed time at the studio whilst I work my magic and photograph your new baby with minimal fuss in a calm, safe and comfortable environment. Where possible I will use natural light whilst photographing your baby and only use extra studio lighting if necessary.
Studio photography sessions are £70 which is the fee for the time and talent to photograph your baby and the session fee includes a 10×8 complimentary mounted print.
The newborn baby photography session takes around 2 hours, sometimes up to 3 hours, depending on how your baby settles into the photo shoot. However, I will ensure that the photo shoot is not rushed and is calm and relaxed for your baby and of course, for parents too. A cappuccino and comfortable sofa awaits you! If you have recently had a new baby and would like to have this precious time photographed, call me today to arrange your baby photography photo shoot.
I often chat to couples planning their wedding about the style of photography they are looking for. More often than not I am told that they want natural, relaxed, fly-on-the-wall style photography alongside their must have group photographs with their closest family and friends. And do you know what? – I couldn’t agree more. It is so important to have a record of your family and friends who attended your wedding day. However, I always recommend that formal group photographs are kept to a minimum, thus avoiding having to stand in a line all day long. Who wants to do that? You should be enjoying the company of your family and friends and sipping champagne…
At most of my weddings that I photograph, I will take a full wedding party photograph with the bride, groom and all the guests. This is the perfect solution to get around having a record of everyone who was with you on your special day. We can then concentrate on group photographs of your immediate family and closest friends… Simple!
However, when it comes to wedding photography tips I have many to share with my clients and I will always spend time with the couple to get an idea of their ideas and inspirations for their special day. My two favourite times of the day for photography are during the bridal preparations and after the wedding breakfast.
Bridal preparations are such a lovely time to capture beautiful, emotive photographs of the bride with her parents and bridesmaids. It’s such a special time and quite often ‘the calm before the storm’… Bridal preparations are such an important time of the day. It is also the time of the day when the bride will be at her most beautiful when her hair and make-up are perfect and the wedding gown is on, veil and accessories in place and the bride looks radiant and super beautiful. It’s also quite an emotional time… I love to see the expression on dad’s face when he first sees his daughter in her wedding dress… I have had to compose myself on many occassions at this point in time… Believe me, I sometimes need a moment to pull myself together during bridal preparations – I have two daughters so it always gets me!!!
So, what other times during your wedding day are you guaranteed to get great photography? After the wedding breakfast of course! Why – you might ask? Because all the formalities are over. The wedding vows are complete, the speeches are over and those with big responsibilities on your wedding day, can kick back and start to really enjoy the day. By this time your family, friends, bridesmaids and groomsmen have probably had a few glasses of bubbly and are ready to really enjoy the rest of the day. I always grab this opportunity to gather together the bridal party, parents and close friends and get outside for some fun, relaxed wedding photographs. You will also be grateful for some fresh air after a couple of hours seated for the wedding breakfast. I am often asked if I can cover a wedding for just a few hours up until the start of the wedding breakfast. This is absolutely fine, however it cuts out the most fun part of the day post wedding breakfast…
Believe me… the latter stages of the wedding day are the besets fun ever! Ensure that these moments are captured forever. I hope you enjoyed these wedding photography tips. Happy Wedding Planning… xxx
I don’t have time to blog many shoots these days, but I am going to try and be a bit more efficient (I keep saying that I must blog more regularly and just don’t have the time to get around to is)… But I thought it would be great to showcase Becky and Ryan’s fabulous wedding photography at Dodford Manor in Northamptonshire.
Dodford Manor is a beautifully restored oak barn and you can see the rolling countryside for miles around. It’s perfect… Becky is from Leicestershire and Ryan is from Yorkshire, although they both currently live and work in Essex. So, of course, it was common sense to get their family and friends to meet in the middle.
They had a fabulous London Underground theme to their wedding day and most of their details were carefully put together by Becky and her super talented, creative family.
The joining together of the northern crowd from Ryan’s side of the family and Becky’s Leicestershire family, alongside their London friends too, made for pretty hilarious antics, lots of noise, and so much love in the room. And for the first time I witnessed a ‘host a roast’. What a fantastic idea. A male guest on each of the tables was responsible for carving the beef served at the wedding breakfast. A chef’s hat and apron were provided and lots of laughs. Loved it! I really enjoyed capturing photographs of this amazing wedding day, and it was so great to see Becky’s family again as I photographed her brother’s wedding 5 years ago at Shearsby Bath in Leicestershire. Familiar faces everywhere. Perfect! Always helps when the wedding party are all a bit nuts… and I always feel so at ease with a northern crowd.
If you have yet to book your Dodford Manor Wedding Photography, please don’t hesitate to get in touch by calling 01455 233224 and I will be happy to chat to you about your wedding day.
I’ve photographed many newborn babies in the studio, and also visited new mummies at home to photograph their new babies… I thought it was about time I wrote a quick blog on how to have the best newborn baby photography session. Many mummies presume that all you have to do is bring along your newborn baby and we can take amazing sleepy, cosy, cute photography for the whole session… Wrong! Newborn baby photography is a completely different kind of photoshoot and takes a very long time… Many of the new babies I have photographed have been in my studio for 2 hours and some for as long as 4 hours. Planning is essential for your photo shoot with your newborn baby. Planning and patience are key. It is also essential that the atmosphere is calm, warm and comfortable for your baby.
So here goes… some top tips on how to have the best newborn baby photography session:-
1) Your newborn photography session should be booked as early as possible. We can pencil in your due date and once your new baby arrives we can arrange a suitable date and time for your session. You may wish to call me to discuss your newborn baby photo shoot during the later stages of your pregnancy and we can have an informal chat about the session.
2) The perfect age to photograph your new baby is between 5-10 day s old. This is the time when your newborn will be sleepy, content and easy to move around. I am patient and will work around your baby with minimal fuss, and of course lots of breaks for cuddles, changing and feeding if necessary. I will not rush your baby photography session. It is important that you feel relaxed and enjoy the experience. A cappuccino and some relaxation is important for mummy, whilst I work my magic..
3) Essential items to bring to your photo shoot include:-
– Spare bottles should your newborn become hungry during the session and require a ‘top up’ feed. However, as previously mentioned, it is important that you feed your baby just before leaving the house.
– Favourite blankets, cuddly toys etc which you may wish to have featured in your photographs. This will personalise your photographs. However, please note I have a large selection of hats, blankets, wraps and props for use during the session.
If you are expecting a new baby and would like to discuss a newborn baby photography photo shoot, please don’t hesitate to contact me on 01455 233224 to discuss the options or to book your session.
Professional head shots are absolutely essential for sending to a casting director. Well composed, flattering images are so important for creating that ‘first impression’. A professional, photographic portfolio will help you to stand out from the crowd and catch the eye of the casting director.
I offer a very informal, relaxed photography session at my studio in Hinckley, Leicestershire and always ensure my clients feel at ease during the session. This photo shoot will last around 40 minutes and will include a mixture of photographs taken in the studio with studio lighting, and also natural light portraits around the Atkins Building, where I am located. The Atkins Building is a beautiful, light and airy building with some amazing little hidden away areas that are just perfect for natural light photography. We will shoot a variety of poses, whilst ensuring that you are relaxed and at ease. Actor head shots are available for actors, musicians, singers and all entertainers.
Whether you are an actor, singer, entertainer or are in business, it is important that you have images that stand out and that your photographs are as unique as you are. Remember, a good casting shot is important to get you through that first stage of the audition process. A great head shot is absolutely essential for your business too – LinkedIn, your CV, your website…
The standard head shot photography session will include the time and talent to photograph you and also includes 6 digital files, with usage rights. This fee for the photography session is £150. Other options are available for longer sessions which include more digital images.
Please call me on 01455 233224 if you require actor head shots and we can discuss your requirements in more detail and book a mutually convenient day and time to work around your schedule. For actor head shots in Leicester – why go anywhere else?
