Baby Photography in Hinckley, Leicestershire

I totally love photographing babies and toddlers…  Whether that’s at home with the brand new little ‘teeny tinies’ or in a studio environment with the lovely little babies, who have just learnt to sit up and are completely taking it all in… smiling and interested in all that’s going on around them.  Or, running around after those toddlers at the woods or a favourite location.    I will be heavily marketing towards my portrait side of the business in 2014 as I have decided to take on a limited number of weddings in 2014.  I love weddings and will never completely stop in this area, but I think my passion lies in portraits.   With this in mind I have launched my ‘Little Darlings’ session days which I am hoping to do regularly, perhaps once a month or more if the demand is there.  These will be a mixture of studio days and location days, but with the added extra of a bit of ‘styling’ by me.   I love nothing better than photographing kiddies all wrapped up in woolly scarves and wellington boots and photographing them on the go! I have a growing collection of beautiful little outfits and accessories in various sizes and colours, sourced from here, there and everywhere.  And the wardrobe is growing by the minute.  Note to self:  more boys cutie hats etc required.

Please note, that you do not have to have your ‘little darling’ photographed in the clothing and accessories that I have, you are most welcome to bring along your own fun, colourful, cute garments and accessories to the shoot.   It is way more ‘personal’ to you if your baby is wearing one of their own outfits.

The regular sessions will be £45 for around 45 minutes, and this includes a complimentary 10×8 image from the shoot.  You will be invited back to my studio / office for a viewing of your final images to select your absolute favourite shots from the photo shoot.  All images will be digitally enhanced and presented to you in a slide show format and I can work with you to create a composite of your favourite images, perhaps to showcase on your wall at home (in my opinion it is far nice to have something beautifully presented and bespoke to you, ready to hang on your wall at home).  I have various portrait packages available including wall art packages, sets of prints and of course digital files.  If you are interested in one of these sessions, please do get in touch.  I am happy to discuss your photography requirements with you, and love to hear about clients ideas and inspirations.  Please call me on 01455 233224 or email me on lesley.bee@btconnect.com.

Baby Photography by Lesley Bee Photography, Leicestershire

Are you ready for some cuteness?  I love photographing babies especially the newborn variety! … and I offer sessions either at your home, so as to keep baby settled and in a familiar environment, or here at the Atkins Building in Hinckley.  I do find that newborn babies (and their mummies) are more settled at home.  I have various blankets, props, backdrops etc that I can bring to your home, and of course I would encourage you to provide me with your cute hats, baby’s own blankets etc and we’re good to go!  If you would like to book a photo shoot with your newborn baby, please contact me.  I would recommend that under 2 weeks old is the best age to do this photography session, when baby is absolutely brand new and I can capture those sleepy smiles.  Mummy can sit back with a cuppa and stay in pyjamas – I really don’t mind!  Here we go for some cuteness then…

The wedding of Will and Emma at Farndon Grange

Another totally lovely wedding day with Will and Emma, and their family and friends.  Will and Emma both live in London, but Emma is originally from Leicestershire and so this was obviously where she wanted to be married.  I met with both of them a  couple of times before their wedding day – firstly for an initial consultation and then a follow up meeting at the venue to discuss all the finer details, timings, special requests etc.  I knew straight away that we would get on just great… And we did!    The ceremony took place at the very pretty ‘St Peter and St Paul Church, in Great Bowden, followed by an amazing reception at Farndon Grange.   Will and Emma hired out the whole of this lovely house and the grounds and made it ‘home’ for a whole weekend.  A beautiful marquee, fabulous food and perfect weather.  And all totally individual to them.  Emma’s dad spent many weekends before the wedding day, mowing the grounds and making it look so beautiful for his daughter’s wedding day.    Just a few selected images from their day…

Giving Something Back – Competition for A Deserving Person(s). Please read on…

I am a bit of a ‘wuss’ sometimes and I feel very lucky that generally, apart from a health blip in my life when I became very poorly in 2002 which lasted for almost 3 years, my life has otherwise been very blessed.   But I am also very aware of some incredible people out there who just seem to have such a hard time and such awful life events that I couldn’t possibly imagine.  I can think of a few amazing people straight away who inspire me daily.  So, here goes, I want to give something back…

I would love to photograph someone who deserves a bit of ‘TLC’ and fuss, someone who gives so much but seems to get a raw deal in life.  It could be a friend of yours, a family member, a  work colleague?.   It could be a whole family going through a really awful time, who get up each day and face the unimaginable but fact their problems with dignity, bravery and positivity.  It could be an individual who does such a lot in the community and asks for nothing in return?   I am offering a location shoot for a person, or family, or group.  A location shoot for around 2 hours which is totally free.  This session will also include a selection of images and digital files.  The session will take place in January  or February 2014, when typically things are a little quieter for me.  It could be a walk in the woods, wrapped up warm and having some fun.  It may be a visit to this person(s) home, or a favourite place?  The photography session will be informal, fun and above all FUN!

Terms and conditions (kept very simple – I hate too many restrictions):

1)  This photo shoot is for a person(s) in or around the Hinckley area only.

2)  The date and time is to be agreed between the nominated winner and myself.

3)  Images may be used for marketing purposes following the photo shoot.  This may include Twitter, Facebook, website etc.

4)  Closing date for nominations is 30th November 2013.

5)  Winner will be announced in December.

6) Your nomination must be received in writing.

So – please nominate your hero(s) and send me an email at lesley.bee@btconnect.com.  Or visit my FB page Lesley Bee Images and send me a private message.  Or you can send me a DM via my twitter page lesleybeeimages.

The wedding of Emma and Lee at Nottinghamshire Golf and Country Club

So, day 2 of trying to blog more often…  Here goes.  Another fantastic wedding full of kids and crazy guests and so, so colourful.  Emma and Lee were married at Nottinghamshire Golf and Country Club and the weather was bright but cool with a few showers throughout the day which thankfully we managed to dodge .  A totally fantastic set of groomsmen always helps and I always get great joy in witnessing 2 sides to the groomsmen, the nervous, slightly  reserved guys that you meet before the ceremony, followed by the  relaxed, slightly crazy guys that you have to handle later in the day when the speeches have been done and a few beers been consumed.  This is when I get my best shots of the day.  It is so much fun working with the bridal party and guests later in the day when the party gets started….    Again, I have only pulled out just a few images as I don’t have the time currently to blog the whole wedding.   But again, another fabulous couple and a wedding I won’t forget!  BEE happy Mr and Mrs Fletcher.

Image captured in between showers!

Fun, fun, fun – as mentioned later in the day is always the best time to capture the fun moments of a wedding day.  Food eaten, champagne consumed, speeches and formalities completed…  Let’s party!

I love capturing kids at weddings.  What is it about little kiddies just loving rolling around the floor at parties?   I wish I was little again.

So, the solution to sorting out noisy, energetic kiddies is this…  🙂

The big kids are just as much trouble though…  especially boys!  Thanks Lee and your groomsmen for ‘striking a pose’ for me…  Love it.

If you are getting married at Nottinghamshire Golf and Country Club and haven’t found your photographer yet, please feel free to call me, Lesley Bee on 01455 233224  or email me at lesley.bee@btconnect.com

We can meet for an informal, no obligation chat about your wedding day photography.

Wedding Photography Scalford Hall by Lesley Bee Photography in Leicestershire

I am a bit embarrassed to admit, that I have not been updating my blog – in fact I have not had time to post on here since March.  I am literally drowning at the moment and have had so many wedding and portrait bookings this year, all so close together, that I have not had time to blog each individual wedding or some of my portraits sessions.  I really could do with somebody to do this for me, so I’ve decided to compromise and not blog a whole series of images from a particular wedding, but to update my blog with perhaps just one ‘WOW’ image or a a small selection and try to do this daily… And keep on top of my blog using this technique instead.    In the past it has taken me hours to blog a wedding and it’s time I just don’t have at the moment.  I have even put a reminder on my calendar to do this every single day that I am in the studio (yeah right).  So here goes…  Let’s see how long this lasts and if I can keep up every day, or at least a few times each week I will be very proud of myself!  If you need for leicester wedding photography, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

So, here are just a few images from Jayne and Louis’s wedding at Scalford Hall in Melton Mowbray.     I don’t think I have ever been at a wedding whereby there was so much laughing… and so much ‘happy’ noise!  Here goes…

This is the fabulous car that is owned by Louis’s dad… How amazing that they were able to use a car that is so personal to them… And of course it’s an amazing car (but don’t ask me what it is…???)

Jayne was certainly going to get her money’s worth out of her veil, so we did a lot of swishing, twirling and general floaty stuff to capture some of these images.  In fact Jayne approached me many times during her wedding day saying ‘Lesley, can we do more photographs of me swishing my veil?’ – and I was very happy to oblige 🙂

Having fun with the bridal party is my top priority at each and every wedding – and if the team is up for some fun, then I am too.  Obviously I cover off the more formal group shots of the bride, groom and their ushers, bridesmaids, best man and not forgetting any flower girls and pageboys…  But I always ensure we have some fun too!   This may be after the wedding breakfast when everyone is totally relaxed, perhaps a bit squiffy from too much champagne and ready to go crazy.  Love this shot below.  Thank you bridal party for your sense of fun and craziness.

For some reason there was a lot of ‘photo bombing’ going on at this wedding (perhaps there was some sort of competition going on).  But hey!  If I can capture a moment like this, then bring it on!  This is the bride’s father after a few too many beers I think!

And here she goes again, ‘swishing’ and twirling and generally getting the most out of her amazing veil… Go Jayne!  You’re a superstar xxx

If you are getting married at Scalford Hall and you haven’t found your wedding photographer yet then please call me on 01455 233224 to discuss your wedding day photography requirements and we can arrange an informal chat and talk WEDDINGS.. I love it!
