Autumn… Don’t you just love it?

I am only just working through these images…  but just a couple I love so far!  Lovely little girls, tromping through the woods in their colourful outfits, wellies and hats.  With mummy having fun too…  Gorgeous!

Autumn…

I like nothing better than location shoots – freedom to run around.  Photographs that tell a story.  It’s Autumn. It’s so beautiful out there at the moment.  Maisie and Lydia Bee are always up for a bit of fun!  I will treasure these photographs for years to come…  If you would like a photo shoot on location – out on a family walk, enjoying your garden or visiting a special place that means something to you, then please call Lesley Bee on 01455 233224 to discuss your ideas and inspirations.  Go on – get out there and have some fun!

Christine & Peter – Mr & Mrs Miller

The lovely Christine and Peter chose to marry at one of my favourite venues in Warwickshire,  Brownsover Hall on Saturday 1st October, and on one of the hottest days of the year – how strange?   One of the questions Christine and Peter had asked during their regular meetings with the wedding co-ordinator at Brownsover  was ‘Please can you light the fires as obviously  it’s an Autumnal wedding’… It was 27 degrees.  This was a small, intimate wedding day with only 32 guests… lovely!  Followed by a big party in the evening with more family and friends and a Frank Sinatra tribute act.  Peter arrived in a helicopter… which is a big deal for him as he’s really scared of heights.  But a great opportunity to get some interesting shots.  I never expected to be spending so much time outside at this October wedding, but it was so lovely to take advantage of the beautiful grounds at Brownsover hall.   The joining of two families at an amazing venue, with lovely guests and an easy going couple – Perfect!  Thank you Mr & Mrs Miller for making me so very welcome.

Family photography by lesley bee

So…  this is my favourite family photograph.    Why? Because it features me (far right – sticking my tongue out), my husband Mr Bee (behind me in the striped jumper), my two daughters Maisie (curly blond hair) and Lydia (crouched down on the ground in the black top looking a bit confused) and all of my in-laws!  We get together for a big family picnic every year which is always great fun and planned very much in advance.   We all have our responsibilities to make it fun, including games, great food, setting up of the gazebo etc.  And my responsibility of course, is to take the family photograph each year, by setting up my camera on a tripod and jumping into the shot.

Ok, so there was another shot that made the final selection of us all smiling nicely at the camera (like most people think they should do) but, you know what?  I prefer this one…  We had literally just gathered  together when the rain came down and we had to run for shelter,  and in the process we all got just a little wet…  So, we went for the ‘crazy family’ shot. It’s probably one of my most favourite photographs ever because it features lots of special people, being completely bonkers and having fun and I know that my children will treasure this photograph always…

The first man a girl falls in love with is her father

The moment when dad sees his daughter for the first time as a bride.   I must admit I did have to choke back a small lump in my throat.  Moments like this on wedding days are just priceless…
