Andrew & Helen – Mr & Mrs Simm

Another  lovely wedding with Andrew and Helen at the Gigmill Methodist Church in Stourbridge, followed by their wedding breakfast and celebrations at Wethele Manor Farm in Weston-Under-Wethereley in Leamington Spa.  And their chosen mode of transport for their wedding?  A fantastic Camper Van.  Well, I couldn’t resist the photo opportunity could I?  It really was a beautiful, relaxed, Autumnal affair with great family and friends making the day so very special.   And just to add another element to the day…. morris dancers!  Absolutely fantastic.IMG_0408IMG_0760IMG_0877IMG_0549_1IMG_0952_1IMG_1100_1IMG_1113_1IMG_1138_1IMG_1141_1

Zoe & Craig at Beaumanor Hall

Another fun wedding with the lovely  Zoe and Craig and their family and friends.  This is the first time I have photographed a wedding at the 19th Century  Beaumanor Hall.  And it really is a beautiful venue for civil ceremonies. It is situated within the village of Woodhouse in Leicestershire and was built during the 19th century for the Herrick family.     The grounds and parkland really are stunning and perfect for wedding photography.  We were extremely lucky as the weather was beautiful, giving us a great opportunity to use the grounds all day.  A few of my favourite shots below.  _MG_000_2378

Autumn in Hollycroft Park

Rarely these days,  do I get the chance to take photographs for my total pleasure.   Whilst taking my dog for his regular walk around Hollycroft Park today, I was suddenly really aware that Autumn really is here.   Where has 2010 gone?  It has been such a busy year for me, and I feel like I have been speeding along at a hundred miles an hour most days. Sometimes, I am guilty of losing perspective of what is important and not taking a big deep breath every now and again and reflecting on my day and what I have achieved.  And this was what going through my head whilst taking in all of the beautiful Autumnal colours around me today.  After taking the dog home, I grabbed the camera and trotted back over to the park to take some shots and enjoy a bit of peace and quiet and to really ‘enjoy’ the park.

It was great to indulge in some ‘me’ photography and I have  now made a promise to myself do this more regularly.  It really did help me to switch off into my own little world for a short time.   It also made me realise why I am in the business of photography – I really do love to take  photographs.   What started off as a hobby, has now become my day job… How lucky am I?  Enough said!IMG_1471IMG_1493IMG_1502IMG_1504IMG_1544IMG_1545IMG_1548IMG_1578IMG_1580IMG_1585IMG_1587
